Russia sent 142 attack and decoy drones against Ukraine overnight, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram.
Explosions struck Kherson, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro as drones targeted multiple sites.
Ukrainian forces intercepted 126 drones, while 16 drones hit 10 locations, causing civilian and infrastructure damage.
Kherson Sustains Casualties and Damage
Local media confirmed two people died and 14 were injured in Kherson during drone strikes.
Drones damaged nine houses, a hospital, schools, an administrative building, a gas station, and several cars.
Odesa Faces Power Outages
Chornomorsk in Odesa suffered the heaviest damage, with at least one resident injured, local reports said.
District Governor Oleg Kiper said energy infrastructure collapsed, leaving 29,000 residents without electricity.
He added crews restored essential services using generators immediately after the attack.
Zelenskyy Reports Russian Losses in Pokrovsk
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the assault the third major Russian strike this week.
He said Russian troops focus their largest efforts in Pokrovsk, suffering “heavy losses.”
Zelenskyy added Ukrainian forces in Donetsk carry out missions and systematically destroy Russian positions.
He claimed Russia lost over 290,000 soldiers killed or severely wounded in the first eight months of 2025.
