An electric streetcar toppled on a steep hill in Lisbon, killing at least 15 and injuring 18. Portuguese television showed the yellow-and-white tram lying on its side along the narrow road. Its roof and sides appeared crumpled as dozens of emergency workers rushed to help. Local media reported the accident occurred around 6 pm during the evening rush hour. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the derailment.
