Kipu Health, a leading provider of technology solutions for behavioral health, has announced the appointment of Josh Boyer as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Boyer will manage the company’s financial strategy, planning, capital management, and corporate development.
Carina Edwards, CEO of Kipu Health, highlighted Boyer’s expertise, saying his addition strengthens the leadership team. She noted that his extensive experience in the software industry and financial management will be crucial as Kipu scales its platform and expands nationwide.
Boyer brings over 20 years of experience in financial and operational leadership at high-growth companies. His appointment comes at a pivotal time as Kipu enhances its platform and grows its reach in behavioral health, serving patients in substance use disorder, medication-assisted treatment, mental health, and eating disorder care.
Boyer emphasized the importance of combining strong products with a committed management team and strategic partnerships. He said, “Kipu meets all these criteria. I’m excited to join during such strong momentum and purpose.”
Before joining Kipu, Boyer held executive finance roles at both private equity-backed and publicly traded companies. Most recently, he served as CFO of Revel Systems, a point-of-sale platform for restaurants and retail brands. There, he oversaw accounting, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, and M&A strategy.
Edwards praised Boyer’s track record, noting, “He consistently aligns financial rigor with operational execution to unlock growth and shareholder value. His leadership will support Kipu’s mission to transform behavioral health care through innovative, data-driven solutions.”
Kipu Health provides advanced technology solutions for behavioral health providers. Its offerings include Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). The company supports over 3,600 facilities and manages more than 3.8 million patient episodes, helping improve care and outcomes for patients nationwide.
With Boyer joining as CFO, Kipu is positioned to continue expanding its platform, enhance long-term value, and solidify its role as a technology partner for behavioral health providers across the United States.
