Bukayo Saka has agreed a new five-year contract with Arsenal that will make him one of the club’s highest-paid players ever. The deal, expected to run until 2031, will significantly improve on his current £200,000-a-week contract signed in 2023 and is understood to be worth more than £15m per season. Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta prioritised securing Saka’s future following a series of long-term renewals for key players. The 24-year-old, a Hale End academy graduate, has reaffirmed his desire to win trophies with Arsenal, who currently lead the Premier League by six points. Manager Mikel Arteta has repeatedly stressed Saka’s importance, while the club are also considering improved terms for Declan Rice. Confirmation of Saka’s new deal is expected imminently.
