Gamers must wait longer for Grand Theft Auto VI after Rockstar Games confirmed another delay. The company postponed the release to November 2026. The long-anticipated title will now launch on 19 November 2026. Rockstar had already delayed it once from its original May 2026 release. The game was first expected to arrive in autumn this year.
Developers Promise Quality Over Speed
Rockstar urged fans to stay patient, saying it needs extra time to meet its high creative standards. The studio stated it aims to deliver the level of quality players “expect and deserve.” Developers continue refining gameplay, visuals, and performance before launch to ensure a polished experience.
Vice City Returns in Massive Open World
Grand Theft Auto VI lets players drive, race, and explore a rule-free world filled with chaos and luxury. Gamers can steal cars, chase police, crash vehicles, and build collections of bikes, boats, and exotic rides. The story unfolds in Leonida, featuring the neon-filled streets of Vice City and new surrounding regions. The upcoming title marks the largest and most immersive chapter in the series so far. Since its debut 12 years ago, Grand Theft Auto has dominated global gaming charts. Each entry, from Vice City to San Andreas and GTA IV, expanded its legacy of innovation and controversy. Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 215 million copies worldwide, making it the second best-selling game ever, just behind Minecraft.
